Can't Get Enough Lana

I admit I have an addiction to Lane Del Rey's music.  It doesn't matter where I am or what I am doing I can always listen to her sweet, angelic and gangster-like voice.  When I listened to her song Ride I loved it.  A young girl trying to find her way in the world and wanting to be free.  Wanting to escape from it all.  Riding away to find herself and think things through.  I have had moments when I have felt like running away from everything, the stress, the pressures.  That's not the right thing to do so I had to find a way to deal with all of the things that made me feel so crazy.  Art. Music. Nature.  Writing. These are my ways of feeling free.  Lana del Rey, born Elizabeth Grant, writes her music based on her ever so deep life experiences.  At only age 26 she has battled alcohol addiction and spent her formative years studying metaphysics.  Her music reflects her philosophy and the battles she has fought to overcome throughout her life.

I've been out on that open road
You can be my full time, daddy
White and gold
Singing blues has been getting old
You can be my full time, baby
Hot or cold

Don't break me down
I've been traveling too long
I've been trying too hard
With one pretty song

I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been trying hard not to get into trouble, but I
I've got a war in my mind
So, I just ride

Dying young and I'm playing hard
That's the way my father made his life an art
Drink all day and we talk 'til dark
That's the way the road doves do it, ride 'til dark.

Don't leave me now
Don't say good bye
Don't turn around
Leave me high and dry

I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been trying hard not to get in trouble, but I
I've got a war in my mind
I just ride

I'm tired of feeling like I'm f*cking crazy
I'm tired of driving 'til I see stars in my eyes
I look up to hear myself saying,
"Baby, too much I strive, I just ride."

I hear the birds on the summer breeze, I drive fast
I am alone in the night
Been trying hard not to get in trouble, but I
I've got a war in my mind
I just ride
