The Strange Familiar

The Strange Familiar will always be one of my favorite bands. You could say I am a little bias as I went to grade school with the lead singer Kira and her now husband Jeff, the lead guitarist.  I have always enjoyed going to see them perform live all over Northeast Ohio.  They have since had much success and have been featured on ABC Family, MTVu, Vampire Diaries and The Secret Life of An American Teenager.  I absolutely love all of their songs but I have to say that the song Angel,  from their album This Is Gravity, has been added recently as a new favorite.  The song was featured on the hit show Brothers and Sisters. They express so much passion in every song and every lyric and you can feel it hit you through the speakers.  Sit back, take a listen and enjoy!

Don't forget to check out their website and LIKE them on Facebook!

Life has a way
Of making you feel
Like you don’t mean nothing
But you have a way
Of making me feel
Like I could be something
More than a nameless face with no story
More than I thought I could be

You call me out from hiding
You hold the mirror so I can see clearer
And you pick up all the pieces
And put them together
To make something better
You’re an angel in my life

You have a way
Of holding my hand
When there is nothing to hold on to
And when I am lost
Just like a child
You’re always there to talk to
When all of the noise is drowning me out
I hear your voice over the crowd

You call me out from hiding
You hold the mirror so I can see clearer
And you pick up all the pieces
And put them together
To make something better
You call me out from hiding
You give me a reason
To go on believing
You’re an angel in my life
