Don't You Worry

Considering music makes my world go 'round I can't help but share the songs that keep me sane.  When I heard Swedish House Mafia's new song titled Don't You Worry Child it couldn't have been better timing.  After realizing that I was just about to hit a mile marker in my life turning 30, I had a moment of clarity but at the same time confusion.  Life hadn't really turned out the way all of those fairy tales taught me.  I don't regret my life and the way it has unfolded.  But wasn't I suppose to be married with 2.5 kids and have an upstanding career?  My life has been just the opposite and I'm happy that it is.  Of course my worrywart brain took over for a moment there and I felt like I was lost or trying to play catch up to everyone else that had that "American Dream."  The words in Don't You Worry Child  were comforting to me and reassuring that things happen the way that they are suppose to.  "Don't you worry, don't you worry child, see heaven's got a plan for you..."  There is a plan for us that is bigger than us.  And even though we may have a hard time understanding that now, in the end it will all make sense.  So I leave you with the song to listen for yourself.  Feel the words and the beat as it takes you away for the next 5 minutes...

"Don't You Worry Child"

There was a time, I used to look into my father's eyes
In a happy home, I was a king I had a gold throne
Those days are gone, now the memories are on the wall
I hear the songs from the places where I was born

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak
I still remember how it all changed
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"
Yeah!

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"
Yeah!

There was a time, I met a girl of a different kind.
We ruled the world, I thought I'll never lose her out of sight.
We were so young, I think of her now and then
I still hear the songs reminding me of a friend

Up on the hill across the blue lake,
That's where I had my first heartbreak
I still remember how it all changed
My father said,
"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"
Yeah!

Oh, oh, oh!
See heaven's got a plan for you
See heaven's got a plan for you
See heaven's got a plan for you

"Don't you worry, don't you worry, child
See heaven's got a plan for you
Don't you worry, don't you worry now"
Yeah!

Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Yeah!
